Today I turn one year older, so naturally the only sane response was to ship myself a present: balloons. 🎈 They float up from the bottom of the screen, wobble a bit like they've had a drink, and then disappear — much like birthdays themselves.
They only show up on my actual birthday, so for the other 364 days a year the site is a perfectly normal, balloon-free zone. A very seasonal feature with a very short season.
