Sole front-end engineer (greenfield)

The problem. Quor sells trust: hardened container images with zero-CVE baselines, SBOMs, and verifiable provenance. Customers needed a console that makes that evidence usable — a growing image catalog to browse, dense package-level security data to inspect, and registry credentials that production pipelines depend on.

The outcome. Shipped to production with the product's public launch. From empty repo to customers' hands solo: a fully type-safe React SPA where heavy catalog and security datasets stay responsive, and credential flows are designed to be hard to get wrong.

Front-end engineer (multidisciplinary team)

The problem. The State of Ceará runs social programs at serious scale — Cartão Mais Infância alone reaches ~150,000 families, Vale Gás Social has served 450,000+ — but the data behind them lived in internal systems. The government needed a public, transparent window into social-protection data: dashboards for decision-makers and citizens alike, covering indicators across all 184 municipalities.

The outcome. Big Data Social became the public face of Ceará's social-protection data and a daily tool for government teams, who use its dashboards to guide program decisions. The portal today reports 119,000+ families visited across 182 municipalities and R$193M/year in tracked investment.

Full-stack engineer

The problem. SeaTech World needed a software-house presence that communicates a broad services catalog — custom systems, websites, landing pages, and e-commerce — and converts visitors into leads while signaling AI/ML credibility.

The outcome. Delivered a responsive marketing site with a services catalog, a CMS-driven blog, and multi-channel lead capture through a contact form, WhatsApp/email links, and a newsletter.

About

About me.

I'm João Victor, a software engineer in Fortaleza, Brazil. I studied Information Systems at the Federal University of Ceará and spent my first years at a data-science lab, building public dashboards that Ceará's government teams use every day. Today I build Quor's customer console at Getup.

I like the parts of the job that don't show up in a demo: the edge cases, the error states, the page on a slow phone. I write about how I work, more and more alongside AI agents, on the blog. And I hide easter eggs on this site, if you know where to look.

How I work

4 principles
  1. I check the page, not just the tests.

Typecheck, lint and CI can all pass on a broken page. Done means I have looked at what the user actually gets.

  2. Accessibility is a requirement, not a feature.

Screen readers, keyboard paths and contrast are part of done. On a statewide public platform that meant VLibras, too.

  3. The unhappy path is the job.

Retries, bounces, expired links. The flows nobody demos are the ones that decide whether people trust the product.

  4. Big changes, small safe steps.

Large rewrites go slice by slice, each step small enough to review and safe enough to roll back.
